Samantha received in Master's in psychology at the New School as well as a Master's in clinical psychology at La Salle University. Her passion in working with others has led her to her current pursuit of a doctoral degree in clinical psychology at Fielding Graduate University. She has specialized training in expressive arts therapies, trauma-focused cognitive-behavioral therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, and EMDR. Additionally, she has completed her certification in play therapy and has submitted for approval to become a Registered Play Therapist. She currently works part-time as a clinician at Mount Sinai Hospital's Parent-Infant Center conducting parent-infant dyadic therapy, as well as at GalalMD.

Samantha Silverberg specializes in working with individuals who have histories of complex and chronic trauma, including posttraumatic stress disorder. Additionally, she focuses on the treatment of mood, anxiety, co-occurring disorders, relationship difficulties, and chronic illness. She has spent the last several years working across a variety of populations, including victims of domestic violence and sexual assault including children and adolescents. Over the last four years, Samantha has focused on children, adolescents, and young adults. She currently serves individuals ages three and above through individual, family, and couples counseling. Samantha uses an integrative approach in treatment, focusing on a variety of modalities to meet the individual's needs, focusing on empathy and genuineness to make each client feel supported and heard. Samantha focuses on a psychodynamic framework however utilizes elements of Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, play therapy, expressive arts therapies, as well as Solution-Focused Therapy interventions in order to help each client achieve their goals in treatment.
